Welcome to
Minds in Harmony
Becoming pregnant can be a wonderful and exciting time in your life. However, it is also a time where you can be vulnerable and reliant on others to keep you and your baby safe. Experiences such as a surge in emotions, trauma, loss and having to make difficult decisions may leave you feeling overwhelmed by the changes that take place.
I have over 15 years’ experience working in the NHS and in Norway with mothers, babies and families alongside more than 10 years’ experience in supervising and teaching clinical psychology trainees at both master and doctoral level. My specialist area of expertise is to use a comprehensive psychological approach with women who experience birth trauma, describing their labour and delivery as traumatic, and who may develop posttraumatic stress as a result of their traumatic experience. . I also work with women who suffer from a range of psychological difficulties, both during pregnancy and after childbirth. such as pre and postnatal depression and pre and postnatal anxiety. I understand the impact these experiences may have on you, your infant and family, and use my knowledge of recent research advances to support positive and healthy attachments for your relationships. I provide support both during pregnancy and after birth (Psychological Interventions) encouraging your wellbeing throughout this period.
As an international chartered Perinatal Clinical Psychologist, registered with both the British Psychological Society (BPS) and the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC), as well as being an accredited specialist psychologist by the Norwegian Psychology Society (Norsk Psykologi Forening) my aim and passion is to support you compassionately to gain the confidence and skills in navigating your journey during pregnancy and after giving birth.
“Our wounds are often the openings into the best and most beautiful part of us”
